"It was Valentine’s Day weekend last year and I was very nervous.  I had made a special DVD that displayed photos of our lives from our first birthdays to the day we found each other.  The video had taken me weeks to make and I was so excited to show it to her.  For Valentine’s Day I had planned two hours at the spa.  We had decided to watch a movie before our day of relaxation.  Before coming to the Village for the weekend I had placed the DVD I had made into a Notebook DVD case.  As we started to watch the movie I could see the excitement on her face.  She thought the DVD was her Valentine’s Day present, but she had no idea what was awaiting her at the end of the movie.  As the last picture was shown, her name popped up on the screen and I could tell she was confused.  With sweaty hands I grabbed the ring and dropped to me knee.  She looked at me with wide eyes and we both began to cry.  It took me what felt like five minutes to finally get the words out.  After a warm embrace she looked me in the eyes and said the words that changed both of our lives forever.  Needless to say, it was the best Valentine’s Day either of us had ever had.  We got engaged at the Village last year and we are now living here together.  We will always have a special place in our hearts for the Village because it has been the start of many great things."
